Hear the Ricky Tick sounds again - on vinyl!
Martin, the DJ at the Ricky Tick, Windsor in the mid 1960s, was persuaded
to come out of retirement after over 40 years and got back behind the turntables to play a set at
Club Rude! on 17 February 2011.
He played the vinyl that he used to play on the golden piano all those years ago.
Now he's got a taste for it again, he's keen to share those sounds with you. He's planning to be playing a Ricky Tick set or 2 on the dates below so if you remember the mod sounds of the 60s or are just inquisitive about what it was like, why not come along?

Looking further ahead ...
Friday, Saturday, Sunday August 10/11/12 - there will be a Ricky Tick stage at Retro Festival 2018 at Newbury Showground, Priors Court, Hermitage, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG18 9QZ. On Friday and Saturday evenings we'll be recreating the atmosphere of the Ricky Tick club in Windsor in the mid 1960s while during the day on Saturday and Sunday we'll be broadening the appeal to Mods of all generations, scooterists and even Northern Soul fans while speculating on what might have been seen and heard at the Ricky Tick if it had not closed in 1967. Chris Farlowe and Cliff Bennett will top the bill on Saturday night.
